The E.Z.N.A. Viral RNA Kit is designed to isolate viral RNA and DNA from plasma, serum, cell culture supernatant and urine, swabs, and saliva. The procedure completely removes contaminants and enzyme inhibitors, making viral RNA isolation fast, convenient, and reliable. The purified nucleic acids are ready for direct use in downstream applications such as qPCR, RT-qPCR and more.

C: inhibitor-free control; T: RNA sample extracted with kit. The Ct values increased by only 3 cycles per 10-fold dilution, which demonstrates that the template RNA in free of inhibitors.

How do I reconstitute the Carrier RNA provided in the E.Z.N.A. Viral RNA Kit?
The instructions for reconstituting the Carrier RNA are provided in the “Preparing Reagents” section of the manual on Page 5.
For a 5-prep kit, add 50 µL of Nuclease-Free Water to the tube of lyophilized Carrier RNA, shake to dissolve completely, aliquot, and store at -20 °C.
For a 50-prep kit, add 320 µL of Nuclease-Free Water to the tube of lyophilized Carrier RNA, shake to dissolve completely, aliquot, and store at -20 °C.
Do not freeze/ thaw the aliquots more than 3 times.
